Sam Anson has more than 20 years of experience in the investigations field with a reputation of handling the most difficult and high-stakes cases in the United States, Latin America and the Caribbean. His clients include top litigators in the United States. He has also partnered with leading European investigators to carry out projects in the region.

Mr. Anson experience includes working on ICSID arbitration matters, FCPA investigations, international tort actions and compliance driven investigations. Most notably, he led the investigation that was the basis for a landmark 2014 RICO judgment against U.S. plaintiff attorneys suing Chevron in Ecuador.

Prior to joining Guidepost Solutions, Mr. Anson was the founder and managing partner of Custom Information Services, Inc., a specialized investigations firm focused on the Americas, with offices in Miami, Bogota, and Los Angeles.

Before founding Custom Information Services, Mr. Anson led the Latin American and Caribbean operations for Kroll, an international investigations firm where he also was a managing director in its Los Angeles office and worked on entertainment industry matters and investment-related disputes.

Mr. Anson began his professional career as a journalist, covering politics, crime and the entertainment industry. He won a 1996 Los Angeles Press Club award for investigative reporting.

Mr. Anson has written and lectured on topics related to international corporate investigations and has conducted training programs for attorneys, investigators and corporate clients.
