Senior Project Manager

Michael G. Ventiere II applies his years of military security and expeditionary operations experience to help clients in multiple industries assess and improve their physical security programs.  He specializes in risk management, physical security principles, technological security solutions, security program management, strategic planning, and project management. Working closely with clients in the transportation, detention, education, financial and government sectors, Mr. Ventiere develops security program solutions to meet expectations and operational requirements.

Prior to joining Guidepost Solutions, Mr. Ventiere was a security consultant and designer at Professional Systems Engineering. He provided security consulting for security assessments, systems design and specification, and engineering for integrated security systems including video surveillance, physical access control, intrusion detection, intercom/ paging, and PLC based control systems. He also conducted security assessments to analyze client and organizational security requirements and program effectiveness, which often served as the basis for the systems designs. In addition, Mr. Ventiere identified compliance requirements to provide recommendations for risk mitigation counter measures.

Mr. Ventiere served in the United States Navy. As a Watch Commander, he managed day-to-day security operations of the pier complex at the Naval Weapon Station Earle overseeing a security team and was accountable for compliance with applicable regulations, protocols, policies, and procedures, including regular review and development of post procedures. He planned and coordinated security operations for special events; facilitated security training; revised local operations to significantly improve the security posture; coordinated responses to emergencies; conducted investigations; and worked closely with emergency and law enforcement personnel.

Mr. Ventiere began his military career as an Expeditionary Security Team Leader with the Navy and later served as a Field Training Officer and Security Team Leader in Bahrain.

Mr. Ventiere was awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal for meritorious direct participation in a humanitarian effort following Hurricane Sandy.
