James J. Webster is a senior project manager in the Security and Technology Consulting group and works closely with clients throughout the New York and Washington, D.C. markets. He is a nationally recognized physical security systems assessment and design specialist with nearly 40-years of experience in the security industry. His design, assessment, and project management experience spans diverse markets including national and international architectural firms; federal, state and local governments; developers; engineering firms; high-profile individuals and their families; and end users. His designed systems are used by a diverse group of operators from Fortune 50 global corporations to regional school systems. Mr. Webster’s insider knowledge of the security industry allows him to incorporate leading edge technologies without sacrificing long-term serviceability and low cost of ownership.
For the last decade, Mr. Webster has headed his own security firm, providing security design consultative services and standards-based threat and vulnerability assessments across multiple industry sectors. Over the years, he’s engaged in a wide variety of projects including the creation of a consolidated security master plan, technology refresh, and design of a joint security operations center for Brookfield Properties, an eight-million square foot multi-use property located directly across from the new World Trade Center. He was also selected to lead a team of subject matter experts on a three-year project for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and General Services Administration. In addition, Mr. Webster provided product and vendor selection consulting for technical and physical security systems.
Previously, Mr. Webster served as the director of security programs for Consentini Associates (Tetra Tech). He has built, managed and commissioned over 500 projects in the United States and abroad.
Mr. Webster is a frequent speaker at regional and national industry conferences on topics related to physical and logical security.
