David Rickerson has more than 19 years of professional experience in security program planning and consulting as well as the design, engineering, specification, and project management of a diverse array of technology solutions. His project experience spans a wide variety of markets including healthcare, higher education, K-12, corporate, public sector, data centers, and museums. Technical areas of expertise include access control, alarm monitoring, video surveillance, intrusion detection, Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Security Operations Centers (SOC), emergency communications, telecommunications, and various other low-voltage systems. His experience with systems integration, administration and operations management, organizational best practices and staffing, electrified locking door hardware and keying systems, and constructability coordination greatly enhances his ability to lead projects to a successful completion in real-world deployments.
Mr. Rickerson concluded his Chapter Officer leadership position as Chair of the San Francisco Bay Area Chapter of ASIS International in 2017. This position was a four-year commitment which included the Secretary, Treasurer, and Vice Chair positions. Mr. Rickerson is also a Member of the ASIS International Security Architecture and Engineering Council.

Guidepost Solutions is providing security, telecommunications infrastructure, and audiovisual consulting and design services for the Oceanwide Center. The Center is a mixed-use project consisting of office, hotel and residential uses within two towers above a common underground parking structure. The 1st Street Tower includes a six-story, 68-feet high outdoor urban room, office space with fixed glazing, residential units and amenity spaces, mechanical penthouse and rooftop terrace, and is set to achieve a LEED Platinum certification.
Kaiser Permanente MOB and Cancer Center
Guidepost Solutions is providing electronic security, telecommunications infrastructure, audiovisual, nurse call, sound masking, and public address consulting, design, and project management services for the new three-story 224,000 sq. ft. Kaiser Permanente Dublin Medical Offices. By providing multidisciplinary low-voltage design services, Guidepost Solutions’ designs are inherently coordinated for structured cabling, network connectivity, and control equipment requirements. Guidepost Solutions utilized BIM Revit modeling to coordinate the design within the overall project. When complete, this facility will provide much-needed urgent care, outpatient clinics, ambulatory surgery center, radiation/oncology center, and pharmacy services to the Tri-Valley’s 135,000 Kaiser patients.
