Angela J. Osborne, PCI, is the regional director for the Security and Technology Consulting division for the Guidepost Solutions Washington, D.C. office. She specializes in leadership threat assessments, performing security risk assessments, and conducting physical security assessments. She has worked with clients in diverse sectors, including government, healthcare, legal, and commercial and residential properties. Ms. Osborne recently completed threat assessments and physical security assessments across 10 criminal court buildings for Cook County in the Chicago-area through a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Urban Areas Security Initiative Program grant. She is developing security countermeasure, physical and technical enhancements, and operational improvements for courthouses in high crime areas.
Ms. Osborne previously worked as a senior analyst at Interos Solutions, supporting clients including the U.S. Department of Commerce, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, and General Services Administration. At the Department of Commerce, she helped establish the Supply Chain Risk Management Program in the Office of Cyber Security and evaluated information and communications technology products and software. She conducted over 100 risk assessments during her time with Interos.
Ms. Osborne spent several years as a security intelligence analyst with TAQA, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, performing risk assessments for global energy projects. While based in the UAE, she established TAQA’s Traveler/Expatriate Risk Management System, co-developed the TAQA High Risk Environment Awareness Training, and trained staff in security strategies on three continents. Ms. Osborne performed expatriate duty of care initiatives, including vetting hotels and lodging options, evaluating local security support, and preparing new expatriates for international assignments in high risk areas, including Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, Ghana, India, among others.
Ms. Osborne is a past member of the ASIS International Strategic Planning Committee and current Member of the Commission on Standards & Guidelines, an ANSI and ISO standards developing organization, representing ASIS’s 33,000 members. She is an accomplished speaker and published writer and has presented at ASIS Annual and International (now GSX) conferences in Las Vegas (2018), Dallas (2017), The Hague (2013), and Dubai (2013), as well as ISC West in Las Vegas (2019). She will speak on her work with Willis Tower’s security program at the GSX 2019 in Chicago.
