Angela J. Osborne is the regional director for the Security and Technology Consulting group in the Guidepost Solutions Washington, D.C office. She specializes in conducting threat assessments, performing security risk assessments, and assisting clients in crisis management training, simulations, and program development.
Previously, Ms. Osborne worked as a senior analyst at Interos Solutions, supporting clients including the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Aeronautical Space Administration, and General Services Administration. At the Department of Commerce, she helped establish the Supply Chain Risk Management Program at the Office of Cyber Security, evaluated information and communications technology products and software for security and counterfeit concerns, and organized DOC SCRM Working Group events and meetings for the its 13 bureaus and offices.
Ms. Osborne spent several years as a security intelligence analyst with TAQA, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company, performing risk assessments for global energy projects in Iraq, Egypt, Turkey, Ghana, India, The Netherlands, UK, and Canada. While based in the UAE, she established TAQA’s Traveler/Expatriate Risk Management System and co-developed the TAQA High Risk Environment Awareness Training. Ms. Osborne was a key member of the Crisis Management Support Team and developed documentation, presented trainings, and audited crisis management resources.
Ms. Osborne provides security support, planning, and assessments for a number of high profile events, including the Illinois State Society Inaugural Gala, National Conference of State Societies (NCSS) Summer Insanity Softball Tournament, Annual Illinois Congressional Delegation Reception, and the Cherry Blossom Festival Signature events, specifically the Lantern Lighting, Congressional Reception, Grand Ball, and Cherry Blossom Queen Coronation. She has also supported security efforts for company shareholder meetings, philanthropic board of directors sessions, and cultural events.
Ms. Osborne is currently the co-chair of the ASIS International Young Professionals Council, serves on the ASIS International Strategic Planning Committee and the Career Pathways Task Force, and is a driving force behind the ASIS Career Center. She is an accomplished speaker and published writer and has presented at ASIS International conferences.
