New York, NY – June 12, 2014 – Guidepost Solutions LLC, a global leader in investigations, security design consulting, immigration and cross-border consulting, and monitoring and compliance services, promoted Joseph Jaffe to Chief Compliance Officer and Deputy General Counsel. He will oversee regulatory compliance issues and assist with legal matters while continuing to lead the company’s Europe, Middle East and Africa practice.

Jaffe joined Guidepost Solutions in 2012. His extensive background includes serving as District Attorney for Sullivan County, New York; spending seven years in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Deputy Chief of the Criminal Division, Chief of the Official Corruption Section, and Administrative Assistant U.S. Attorney; and serving as an Acting Chief Inspector for the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Jaffe has served as an Independent Private Sector Inspector General (IPSIG), integrity monitor and outside compliance officer for governmental and regulatory agencies including the U.S District Court, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and private client and led forensic, investigative and due diligence teams for law firms, accounting practices and security consulting companies.
Jaffe has overseen a host of investigative assignments for foreign governments and state, federal, and private entities in matters related to terrorism, complex business fraud, sexual harassment, union corruption, inventory and intellectual property theft, wage violations, corporate compliance and governance, money laundering, construction accidents, the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and the SEC. He has supervised numerous due diligence investigations for corporations and financial institutions and coordinated litigation support assignments for trial attorneys in civil and criminal cases.

Jaffe is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association (NYSBA), the Federal Bar Council, and the New York City Bar Association. He is Vice President of the International Association of IPSIG. He served as Chairman of the Merit Selection Panel for Magistrate Judges of the SDNY and Chair of the NYSBA’s Criminal Justice Section. He is a former member of the New York State Third Department Judicial Nominating Committee and founding member of the New York State Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Mr. Jaffe received his Juris Doctor from the New York University School of Law, Cum Laude and a Bachelor of Science from Cornell University.
