RF COMMUNICATIONS

Radio Frequency (RF) Communications

Wireless communication plays an increasingly significant role in day to day life. Basic communication and data transfer using wireless technology has become an integral part of our daily activities. The transmission of data or information from one place to another wirelessly is referred as wireless communication, which uses radio frequency (RF) technology.

Modern buildings rely on RF technology to meet the mobile communication needs of the buildings’ staff, visitors, and equipment. This broad topic of RF communications has many sub-topics that Guidepost Solutions designers can address including:

  • Telemetry medical equipment
  • Smart end-point devices
  • ERRCS – Emergency Radio
  • Cellular distributed antenna systems (DAS)
  • Wireless Access Points (WAPs) supporting WiFi
  • RFID credentials
  • Internet of things devices (IOT)
  • Wireless panic devices
  • Internal global positioning devices (GPS)

The Telecommunications Design team at Guidepost Solutions understands the RF measurement methodology that is generally divided into three major categories: spectral analysis, vector analysis, and network analysis. We recognize the requirements of transmission systems and device design, including placement of antennas to provide antenna design that ensures sufficient consistent RF communication and optimum performance in all areas of the building requiring coverage.
