Guidepost Solutions has worked with Twitter’s staff on multiple engagements to develop highly efficient, standardized security systems globally. Projects included security system upgrades and master plans for its offices located in San Francisco, California; Mountain View, California, and Tokyo, Japan. Notably, we selected a new integrated network-based security system for Twitter’s global enterprise.
Our work included the design of a security system for Twitter’s new headquarters. This project involved the complete tenant improvement of an architectural historic building incorporating an open floor plan, cafe and optical turnstiles. Working in conjunction with Twitter, our team developed a physical security system that negotiated the complexity of public and employee space. The design entailed access control card reader assemblies, video surveillance, security and life safety communication systems. The team also coordinated elevator and turnstile elements with the architect, as well as the door hardware requirements for the fire system egress.
The design addressed a roof top outdoor entertainment area to host special events. The design also utilized special lock hardware and high resolution, 180-degree cameras for situational awareness. Our team worked directly with the Twitter staff throughout the project, and provided uniquely tailored construction administration services.
