Guidepost Solutions provided security master planning, design, and construction administration services for the implementation of a new campus-wide security program at Stanford University. This encompassed 670 buildings within 8,180 acres.
As part of the first phase of a larger campus-wide security improvement program, we were engaged to provide design and consulting services for the installation of security and communications systems at 175 student housing facilities. The implementation of this technology allows the university to monitor and remotely control public entry and perimeter doors in residence facilities and dining halls and allows students to use their identification cards to access on-campus residence facility doors. As part of the work for this project, our team designed a dedicated network to support the implementation of new security technology and developed the standards for the campus’ security technology software.
