CBRE

Since 2003, members of the Guidepost Solutions team have been retained by CBRE to serve as a strategic partner and consult on physical security issues on a nationwide basis. This includes 41 properties and the Willis Tower in Chicago, Illinois. CBRE is the largest real estate management company in the world with more than 610 million square feet of managed property.

As their security consultant, we are responsible for developing standards for technical and operational security measures across its entire portfolio of properties.  In addition, we assess existing conditions at select high profile office buildings throughout the country. This effort also entails developing security and emergency response protocols; performing property risk assessments; evaluating and optimizing electronic security systems; and conducting guard services evaluation, procurement, and contract administration. The goals of the project are to raise the overall standard of protection in mixed-use office buildings under the company’s management, while critically evaluating current initiatives and capitalizing on economies of scale through a nationwide procurement program.

Our standardized approach and emphasis on “best practices” has increased the quality of guard services, while cutting costs up to 24% at certain properties.
