Thomas Smith brings 16 years of experience as a security systems project manager, leading projects from preliminary design to installation and operation. His expertise spans electronic entry control systems, intrusion detection systems, CCTV systems, and physical security systems with a specialized background in perimeter security.
Mr. Smith has designed and installed fencing, gates, and automated U.S. Department of State rated vehicle barriers; lighting fixtures; and perimeter video surveillance and access control systems for many public projects. As a former security system installer, Mr. Smith possesses an “eye towards constructability,” helping clients consistently save on overall project costs by modifying designs to fit end user goals and needs. In addition, Mr. Smith has collaborated with a range of public clients, including the U.S. Department of Interior, Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, and NASA; as a result, he understands how to coordinate multiple stakeholders, as well as meet standards compliance, strict deadlines, and budgetary needs.
