Ron Chandler brings more than 30 years of public and private sector experience in the design, implementation, and operation of enterprise security systems; convergence of physical and information technology programs; protection of sensitive information; and integration of security into corporate cultures and infrastructures. He is responsible for cyber security services, global master planning, command and control programs, and managed services programs either as standalone service offerings or as an integrated suite of solutions.
Mr. Chandler’s extensive experience encompasses the management, operation and compliance (ISO 27001 and PCI) as the chief information security officer (CISO) of a financial services company; leadership in the creation of a Fortune 500 nationwide integrated security management network; technical security implementations at major airports for the Transportation Security Administration; fraud and information security protection programs for telecommunications companies; U.S. Department of Defense security operations programs; and technical operations management and engineering support for the Department of Homeland Security.
As an advocate for an organization’s chief information, technology, and information security officers, Mr. Chandler offers expertise in the predictive design, modeling and threat identification disciplines as well as the correlation of these multi-level threat events into security operations center (SOC) response practices.
Mr. Chandler’s in-depth background in the design, deployment, implementation and operation of information and physical security programs includes network security, IT governance, telecommunications, operations management, standards, business continuity and disaster recovery, and policy creation.
Prior to rejoining Guidepost Solutions in 2014, Mr. Chandler was the chief security officer (CSO and CISO) at Softcard (recently acquired by Google) where he had overall accountability and responsibility for both the physical and information security initiatives throughout the company. Previously, he spent five years with Guidepost Solutions providing technical and operational consulting to Fortune 1000 clients and government agencies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Chandler was a senior security leader for the Department of Homeland Security and vice president of operations for eMeritus Communications. He also held senior executive and middle management positions with Excel Communications, MCI and General Dynamics.
