Guidepost Solutions Launches Campaigns to Support Disaster Relief Efforts

Chairman, Bart M. Schwartz Provides Matching Gift

October 30, 2017, New York, New York – In response to the recent series of natural disasters, the Guidepost Solutions staff came together to raise funds and donate supplies for the victims affected by the devastation left behind by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.

“As a company, we wanted to help directly support recovery efforts by supporting programs to reach damaged communities with much needed funds and supplies,” stated Chief Executive Officer Julie Myers Wood. “We are very grateful for the generosity of our employees as well as Bart Schwartz’s matching gift to further encourage the Guidepost Solutions team to participate.”

In September, Guidepost Solutions provided employees an outlet to donate food and supplies for Hurricane Harvey victims through the Houston Food Bank, a nonprofit organization and America’s largest food bank in distribution to its network of 600 hunger relief charities in 18 southeast Texas counties. The donated items provided nutritious meals and basic necessities to the many families who were displaced by the hurricane.

In addition, in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria, Guidepost Solutions launched a company-wide fundraising campaign to support the youngest victims of these natural disasters through the nonprofit organization, Save the Children. The company surpassed its goal and Chairman, Bart M. Schwartz, personally matched a majority of the amount raised from employees.

“When these tragedies occur, we realize we are all connected in some way and need to step up and help,” stated Schwartz.
