New York, NY – May 7, 2014 — Guidepost Solutions, LLC (www.guidepostsolutions.com) today named Julie Myers Wood as the firm’s next Chief Executive Officer. Wood, who previously served as President of its Compliance, Federal Practice and Software Solutions division, will focus on growing the company’s core business lines and expanding technological tools to support security and compliance services.

Guidepost Solutions’ chief executive officer position had been held on an interim basis by Schwartz who will continue as Chairman and remain actively involved in the operations of the firm.

Wood is the former Head of Immigration and Customs Enforcement for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) where she led the largest investigative component of DHS and the second largest investigative agency in the federal government. Under her leadership, the agency set new enforcement records for export enforcement – including International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Export Administration Regulations and deemed export investigations – and intellectual property rights. Previously, Wood served as Assistant Secretary for Export Enforcement at the Department of Commerce, where she ran the agency responsible for dual-use export enforcement, and Chief of Staff for the Criminal Division at the Department of Justice. As Deputy Assistant Secretary (Money Laundering and Financial Crimes) at the Treasury Department, she coordinated the government’s national strategy on money laundering. Wood also served as an Assistant United States Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, focused on prosecution of financial crimes, securities fraud, and other white-collar criminal cases.
Prior to joining Guidepost Solutions, Wood was president and founder of ICS Consulting, LLC, a compliance consulting firm, and of Immigration and Customs Solutions, a software compliance firm. Under her leadership, both firms saw extensive growth, ultimately leading to their purchase by Guidepost Solutions.
