Guidepost Solutions Names New Vice President for Central Region

Dallas, TX-December 16, 2013 – Guidepost Solutions, LLC named Patrick M. Markham regional vice president of its Technology Design Consulting practice. He will assume management responsibility and leadership of projects and security design services for its Central United States region.

“Patrick has been an integral part of the Guidepost team for more than 8 years, and during that time he has established himself as a leader not only in our Dallas office but also within the region,” stated Chief Operating Officer and President of the Technology Design Consulting practice, Daniel E. O’Donnell.  “Having the ability to promote talented individuals from within the Guidepost workforce into leadership roles helps our company maintain a high level of client service and satisfaction.”

Markham joined Guidepost’s predecessor in 2005 and launched the firm’s Chicago office. He was responsible for managing relationships with key clients including universities, public school districts and real estate companies. In 2010, Markham relocated to the firm’s Dallas office to fill a senior project manager role. Earlier in his career, he was an associate with Kroll Security Service Group and project consultant for Gage-Babcock and Associates.

Markham has 20 years of corporate, law enforcement and consulting security experience and works on all aspects of security program development including vulnerability analysis, risk assessment, development of policies and procedures, conceptual planning, electronic systems engineering, competitive procurement of systems and implementation oversight. He works extensively in the architectural, commercial real estate, financial and education markets coordinating the unique security issues present in mixed-use high-rise, single tenant and campus facilities. Markham has also implemented and managed security and loss prevention programs for several major retail organizations.

Markham earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration at Western Illinois University. He is an active member of ASIS International and holds its Certified Protection Professional (CPP)® designation. Additionally, Markham has a Chemical-terrorism Vulnerability Information certification by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
